I went there on Monday and thought of you! I found myself a huge Playmobil Royal guard – as big as me. Couldn’t get it under my coat so I’ll order it from Father Christmas. Wanted to get my pic taken with the Hamley’s bear, but he tran away when he saw me coming 😦 I’ll knee cap the bugger next time. Hope you’re ok – it’s very quiet around here. Big hugs from MM.

MM! It was so good to see your message in my emails! I have been in somewhat of a slump lately, wanting so much to get back to my blog but not really having the oomph to get going! Your comment made me smile and here I am… so thank you muchly!
I think you should definitely put the huge Playmobil on your Christmas list… it would be an awesome talking point in the kitchen or the garden! That Hamley’s bear will get a flea in his ear from me when I see him next, how dare he run away from my chuckle buddy! 🙂 Big hugs x

She Liiiiiives! 😀 Maybe you should kidnap the bear, then we can use him as a slave to serve us rosé wine and hobnobs.

Quotes that speak to my soul…

"Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving.
What you have caught on film is captured forever...
it remembers little things,
long after you have forgotten everything." - Aaron Siskind

"You become things, you become an atmosphere, and if you become it, which means you incorporate it within you, you can also give it back. You can put this feeling into a picture. A painter can do it. And a musician can do it and I think a photographer can do that too and that I would call the dreaming with open eyes." - Ernst Haas

"Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by Dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most importantly, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary."
- Steve Jobs

“To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy.”
- Henri Cartier-Bresson

“For me, the camera is a sketch book, an instrument of intuition and spontaneity.”
― Henri Cartier-Bresson

“Above all, life for a photographer cannot be a matter of indifference”
― Robert Frank
