I have been trying (for some time now) to capture some squirrels on camera… unfortunately for me, Mutley normally spots them either at the same time or before me and sends them scurrying up the nearest tree!
This one stopped to watch Mutley just long enough for me to click but not as sharp as I’d like it! Maybe next time the moment won’t be so fleeting…
Look at that face intent on the squirrel… give it up Mutley… it’s never gonna happen!

That’s one chunky squirrel! Great photos, I recognise that “dinner, please come down here and play with me” canine expression.

Thanks! You should see her when she spots one… she goes into cat stealth mode, tries to move as slowly as she possibly can so she can get as near as possible before it flees but she’s so big it’s comical… the squirrels head pops up, she charges full steam toward it and it’s off and up the nearest tree with Mutley left at the bottom hoping it loses it’s footing and lands at her feet… she reminds me of the wolf in Disney’s ‘The Sword in The Stone’ so funny to watch! 😀

Smelly dog is the same, she’s about as inaudible as a hippo trying to sneak across a floor covered in crisps.

Mutley is a great looking dog. I would love a big daft dog, but Mrs Sensible says one big daft dog in the house is enough…

Jun 22, 2013 @ 12:41:31
😀 I expect Mrs Sensible’s probably right! You’ll have to make do with Gilda and The Wolf!… and my pics of Mutley of course! 🙂

Gilda belongs to Luigina, and the wolf belongs to the man across the road (I think he is a hippy or part hippy part Italian. I know Gilda is untrainable, and the wolf is unstrokable.
I just want a big daft dog for me. I might just go and by a little puppy after we come back from Sicily, Mrs Sensible can only shout for so many days.

Are you sure she could only shout for a few days?… she is Italian after all and a teacher! Personally, I don’t fancy your chances! 🙂 But if you do brave it out, don’t forget to post pictures!

I want an Airedale. When I was little I had a friend who had one. It was as daft as a brush.7
It once ran at a wall and jumped it. Unfortunately there was a large drop on the other side. I think it spent 4 months with two of its legs in plaster
but a really lovely dog

She couldn’t shout at me, when I present her with a little ball of fur that has a waggy tail at one end and a cute face at the other, could she?

I always said I didn’t want a dog (I use to be a cat only person) until my husband brought home our first puppy years ago and then my heart melted… having said that, it was a spaniel and completely drove me mad! Now Mutley… we all chose her together, so hard picking a puppy when they’re all so adorable… she’s gorgeous and has a wonderful nature, I couldn’t imagine being without her! I am pretty sure Mrs Sensible’s heart would melt too but read up on puppies before you go ahead… they’re a lot of hard work initially, seriously… I was in tears for the first couple of weeks! 🙂

Mrs Sensible loves dogs, even dogs with little legs, small brains and fat bellies, like Gilda.
Mrs Sensible had a dog when she was younger, I think it would be good for her to try and train a dog, rather than keep trying to train me

Well, there is that, I reckon it will be a very well trained dog once it’s been through Mrs Sensible’s puppy school! 🙂
